Jays Care Foundation and Their Opportunity have teamed up to create the RBI Spring Baseball Scholarship - a dedicated fund aimed at supporting Jays Care RBI Spring athletes to pursue their baseball/softball dreams. With a core mission to fully eliminate the costs of registration, this initiative seeks to foster inclusive participation and promote opportunities for Jays Care youth to enjoy the transformative power of sport by joining leagues in their local communities.

Who Can Apply?

The RBI Spring Baseball Scholarship is open to youth currently participating in Jays Care’s RBI Spring program that are looking to participate in house league level baseball/softball during the 2025 spring/summer season.

How Does It Work?

All youth involved in Jays Care’s RBI Spring program who are interested in joining a local baseball/softball league this spring and summer are encouraged to apply for the RBI Spring Baseball Scholarship!  The application process is simple and can be completed in 3 easy steps.

  1. This application form must be completed by a Parent/Guardian of a child currently enrolled in the RBI Spring Program.

  2. Please complete the application form in full by providing Parent/Guardian information, athlete (child) information and selecting which local baseball league you are interested in registering for.

  3. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with a summary of your application.

What Happens Next?

After submitting, Their Opportunity will review your application and connect with the local baseball league you selected to ensure registration availability.  You can expect to receive a notification from Their Opportunity regarding the status of your application as well as guidance on next steps within 3 business days. If you require any supporting completing this application form or have any questions, please reach out to Matthew Cronin by email at Matthew@theiropportunity.com.

What can I/my child expect if we join a league?

Local baseball/softball leagues provide an opportunity for youth to develop their skills, play on a team, and participate in scheduled games outside of school. Here’s what sets organized baseball apart:

  • Local leagues are community-run, organized by volunteers and coaches from the public.

  • Seasons typically last 8-10 weeks throughout the spring/summer, with teams practicing and playing for 1-2 hours per week.

  • House league is open to all skill levels and follows traditional baseball rules, with some games being competitive.

  • Local leagues are independent and not affiliated with Jays Care or its programs.
