PROGRAM DETAILS:

Their Opportunity and the Senators Community Foundation have teamed up to create the 
ICE BREAKERS, A LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY PROGRAM FOR NEWCOMMER FEMALES
 

Geared to support female, newcomer youth aged 7-12, it will be offered over 8 sessions in july & august
This exciting initiative,  guided by elite players & experienced instructors, offers a comprehensive introduction to both skating and hockey. Over the first 3 sessions, participants will learn the essential skills and fundamentals of skating.

Following the skating sessions, we transition to an exhilarating 5 sessions introduction to hockey, where participants will put their newly acquired skating skills to the test on the ice. Join us for this fun and dynamic program designed to foster confidence and athleticism in a supportive and family-friendly environment!​

learn to skate

In the first phase of our program, participants will spend 3 sessions learning the essential skills and fundamentals of skating. Guided by experienced instructors, each session is designed to build confidence and proficiency on the ice, ensuring that every participant, regardless of their starting skill level, makes steady progress.

learn hockey

During these sessions, participants will put their newly acquired skating skills to the test as they learn the basics of this fast-paced and exciting sport. Our instructors will teach the fundamental techniques and rules of Hockey providing a dynamic and engaging experience. This phase is designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, helping participants to further develop their skills in a team-oriented setting.
